General
-
We offer units from 5×10 (50 sq ft, great for a closet of overflow) up to 10×30 (300 sq ft, comparable to a two-car garage). Mid-sizes 10×10, 10×15, and 10×20 are the most popular for whole-home moves and contractor use.
-
Storage Station is at 101 E Reata Rd in Richland, WA 99338 — near I-82 and Clearwater Ave, easy to reach from anywhere in the Tri-Cities.
-
Yes. Many of our renters come from Kennewick and Pasco. From Kennewick take I-82 West to Exit 96. From Pasco, cross the Blue Bridge (US-12) and connect to I-182 toward Richland.

-
No. The price you see is the price you pay. We do not charge admin fees, setup fees, or surprise increases on qualifying month-to-month leases. We do charge a $20 refundable cleaning deposit.

Yes — active-duty and veteran military members and verified non-profit organizations receive ongoing discounts. Mention it when you reserve and we will apply the credit.
-
Pay online at rent.storagestation.com, set up autopay through your account, or pay in the office during business hours. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers.
Access & security
-
Gate access is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. After-hours access can be discussed in the office for special situations.
-
The office is staffed Monday–Friday 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Closed Sunday. Tyler, our on-site manager, is happy to walk you through move-in.
-
We have 24/7 video surveillance across the property, an electronic gate with personal access codes, perimeter fencing, and on-site management during office hours. Every unit also has its own individual alarm.
-
Yes. Each unit has its own door alarm that arms automatically when you exit and disarms with your access code. If a door is opened without a code, we know immediately.
-
No. Each tenant gets a personal gate access code tied to their account. We can see exactly who entered and when, which is part of how we keep the property secure.
Climate-controlled vs. drive-up
-
Climate-controlled units are inside a building with regulated temperature and humidity, accessed via interior hallways — best for sensitive items. Drive-up units are stand-alone outdoor units you can pull a vehicle right up to — fastest for loading and unloading heavy or frequent items.
-
Choose climate-controlled if you are storing wood furniture, electronics, photos, documents, leather, instruments, art, wine, or anything that does not tolerate Tri-Cities temperature swings. Columbia Basin summers can hit 105°F and winters drop below freezing — climate control protects against both.
-
Drive-up is great for tools, equipment, vehicles, contractor inventory, lawn gear, holiday decorations, and anything you access often or load with a hand truck. Ground-level access with no ramps or elevators saves time on every visit.
-
No. Our climate-controlled buildings are kept in a comfortable range year-round — typically 55–80°F with controlled humidity. Stable conditions, not cold conditions.
Lease & move-in
-
Yes. All units are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. Rent for a single month or for years — the choice is yours.
-
A government-issued photo ID, a payment method, and a lock if you have one (we sell quality disc locks in the office if you do not). The whole process typically takes 15 minutes.
-
Yes — we charge a $20 refundable cleaning deposit. It is returned when you vacate and leave the unit in good condition.
-
A round disc lock is the most secure choice for storage units — they resist bolt cutters and are hard to pick. We sell them in the office for convenience, or you can bring your own.
-
Yes — coverage is required. Many homeowner and renter insurance policies already cover off-premises personal property; check your policy. If you do not have coverage, we offer affordable tenant protection plans at move-in.
-
Yes. New tenants can reserve our 14-foot move-in truck at no charge — fuel and your moving labor are on you. Reserve when you sign your lease since availability is limited.
Changing units & move-out
-
Yes. If you need more or less space, we will move you to a different unit when one is available. Call ahead and we will check inventory.
-
Give us notice in person or by phone, remove your belongings, leave the unit broom-clean, and remove your lock. We will close your account and confirm in writing.
-
We ask for advance notice when possible so we can re-rent the unit, but specific notice requirements depend on your lease terms. Call us and we will walk through your situation.
-
Leave the unit broom-clean — sweep out debris and remove all your belongings and your lock. That keeps the next tenant happy and avoids any cleaning charges.
